[In all his years on this world, Kagami has learned that he can't stand humans. He despises them, how they took their own lives for granted and selfishly cut off others' far too short. Using them as tools and not getting involved or attached is so much better.

So he still finds himself scratching his head as to what exactly possessed him to go along with this project.

Eliot. It's because he doesn't want to have to deal with the headache of seeing Eliot's crestfallen expression on his stupid face. Yep. This was all to avoid that headache. Kagami doesn't care about helping find out the stories of ghosts, although he doesn't mind other kinds of spirits, and he definitely doesn't care if Eliot ended up forgetting to bring all of the expensive ghost-hunting equipment Kagami wasn't even sure was necessary given their abilities and has conveniently procured.

Nope. He doesn't care about any of that. It's simply easier if he keeps inventory of it, and handles all of the logistics and planning, it hasn't taken multiple hours and days out of his time to prepare for a project that might not even end up successful.

He's just vibing.
